This puppet is nicely carved and beautifully hand painted
this head is carved in such way that appears to have multiple expressions depending on the angle it is held
It is not a surprise that puppetry is also very strong and has been part of their vibrant culture for hundreds of years
His head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement

Captivating face with a mohair beard. Felt face with a velvet hat. Felt body. Excelsior stuffed head with cardboard finger tube. Approximately 9" (23 cm) tall. Unmarked. Age related wear with spots and stains. Missing glasses and some felt details on the collar. A rare vintage puppet with signs of age.
