2017年に30歳という若さで亡くなった、中国の写真家・任航（Ren Hang）の作品集。作家の写真は、中国の若い世代の感情、欲望、恐怖、孤独を、遊び心とユーモアのある視覚言語を使って表現しています。彼の作品は、ヌードや性的表現が政府の検閲や統制の対象とされている共産主義体制下において、慣習に対する若者の反抗の象徴として今尚大きな影響を与え続けています。描かれている人物のほとんどは作家の友人ですが、彼ら、彼女らはみな無名で匿名であり、イメージにはタイトルも場所も日付も記されていません。入念な演出が施されてはいますが、そこには儚さを伴う現実的な気配が漂っています。
