Spanning from Colorado to California, from Idaho to New Mexico, and all points in between, they documented the rugged and diverse terrain of the West. After his time with Wheeler was finished, he was free to move anywhere and chose to settle in Colorado. He set up shop in Denver and began producing the best reference maps of the time for the
