Tea Ceremony Chawan Tea Bowl Pink Glaze with Mon 5" Table Made for military awards inThis is a ceramic bowl known as a chawan (tea bowl) used in a Japanese chado (tea ceremony). Suitable more for the summer season its thin walls allow the tea to cool faster during the hot summer months. It has a deep clear signature of the potter. This chawan measures 5 1 2" wide at its widest by 3" tall. Having been in storage for 70 years it remains in fine condition.
