Advent Saint Collection: Saint Juan Diego, Mensajero de Mexico Saint Therese the crib where baby JesusThe Messenger. Feast December 9th. This cute painting is a little celebration of Mexico with the colors and symbols: the papel picado image at top was going to initially be actual papel picado but alas, I tried, so now we have papel pintado (lol). In the papel image is an outline of an eagle, a nod to Juan Diegos indigenous name he who speaks like an eagle. The walls are plastered with modeling paste meant to look like adobe walls. The bottom third is
