一対の向かい合う蝶をあらわした文様を対い蝶と呼びますが、四方に蝶を配置することで全体が七宝文様のように見える構図になっています。
紬で鶴と亀のモチーフを織り出した着物をアロハシャツに。

当時は上流階級しか見ることができなかった貴重な輸入品の紋様であるため現在でも格式高いモチーフとされ、着物や帯の柄として使用されています。
