Miniature Red Silk Georgian Slipper Brooch Handbeaded A painted metal hairpin holderThis little antique red slipper with it's tiny cream tassle is really old. It is handmade and was used to hold a thimble back in the Georgian times when many ladies did a lot of sewing. I have in turn, sewn it onto an oval background and edged with beads to give it a new lease of life as a brooch as it's far too pretty to be hidden away in a cupboard, sewing box or dawer.
