Antique Japanese Meiji Era small Ceramic Blue & White Hibachi Brazier 6” Jar Width = 24" (Frame 32")This is an antique Japanese ceramic hibachi likely from the Meiji era (1868 1912). In beautiful cobalt blue glaze it has chrysanthemum flowers in bloom as well as bamboo and foliage . Traditionally in Japan a hibachi is considered an enclosure for fire, usually hot coals sitting on a bed of ash used to help heat small spaces, lite a pipe or warm water for tea. A great container for plants and flowers Priced according to condition. Height = 6" Diameter
