This is a vintage Japanese wooden doll known called a kokeshi

All hardware is hand forged iron with square handles and detailed lock plates

It has been in storage for over half a century and with exception to some missing parts on the rim (see last two pictures)

NEVER BOIL TEA IN THE KETTLE FOR DRINKING as this will oxidize the tea and leave a horrible bitter flavor

Japanese (c. 1880) Ceramic Hand Painted Imari Blue & White Charger Imari This is a vintage JapaneseThis is a large 18 blue & white antique mid Meiji Era (c. 1880) Japanese ceramic charger plate with a hand painted design of the three elements of happiness: pine, bamboo and plum blossom. A very auspicious motif called Shochikubai. The "fish eye" un glazed area on the bottom was a unique kiln footing design found on late Edo to early Meiji era pottery. It measures approx. 16" in diameter by 2" tall (41 x 5 cm). And weighs 6. 10 lbs
