オランダのアーティスト、グラフィックデザイナー、教育者であるカレル・マルテンス（Karel Martens）が、ミュンヘンの美術館「Kunstverein München」で開催した大規模な展覧会「Motion」の一環として刊行されたもの。本書の内容の大部分は、2000年にマルテンスのスタジオの壁を撮影したビデオ『Not for Resale』を中心に、ビデオ『Lost & Found』（2004年）、『Tol』（2008年）などの映像作品から収録した作品がまとめられています。
