This is a vintage Chinese porcelain lamp made from a vase
It has a traditional cloud motif cut along the bottom between the feet
Having been in storage for most of the past century this plate remains in good condition with with a repair that can be seen in photo #8
It is from a very high resolution scan taken of the original Chikayoshi print in our collection with a state of the art flat bed scanner
The scenery is labeled in traditional Chinese with "Wenshu Monistery" and "Yu-Ping Peak"

It is made of ceramic fired at high temperatures for lasting durability. It has a simple clear crackel glaze over the tan clay body. At the spout is an eye catching blue hare's fur glaze with a unique drip pattern. Height = 7. 75" (20cm) Diameter = 3" (7. 5cm)
