Old Map of Wales, Cymru by Christopher Saxton in 1580 - First Accurate Map of Wales Size:A3 (297x420mm) This old map of BristolThis one of a kind map of Wales, compiled in 1580 by the father of British cartography Christopher Saxton, was the first accurate map of many parts of Wales. Curiously the map was never published, but many parts of it were used in his larger map of England & Wales. This map is exceedingly rare just one copy exists and is currently owned by the National Library of Wales. This map looks great at all sizes: 12x16 inches (31x41cm), 18x24 inches (45.
