The hackamore combination is a cheekpiece with leverage and gives pressure on the nose, chin and in the mouth. The longer the shanks of the hackamore the stronger the effect. This combination with short shanks has a milder effect than the hackamore combi long. These bits are often used with very enthusiastic horses in the ring.
