Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a wreathed inscription of VERDIENST UM DEN STAAT (SERVICE TO THE STATE), the reverse bearing a monogram of King Friedrich Wilhelm III, measuring 39. 20 mm in diameter, weighing 23. 1 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation
