A Military Medal, c. 1860 Auction Archive the exterior bearing a blackIn silver, the obverse bearing the profile of Emperor Napoleon III, the reverse the inscription VALEUR ET DISCIPLINE, topped by an imperial silver crown, measuring 46. 3 mm (h) x 26. 2 mm (w), light contact, very fine. Footnote: The Military Medal was a military decoration awarded for meritorious service and acts of bravery in action against an enemy force. It is the third highest award of the French Republic.
