These small branching columnar stromatolites are from the Mount Leake Sandstone, Earaheedy Group, Western Australia. Location is near the town of Meekatharra. Age is Palaeoproterozoic (1. 6 to 2. 5 billion years). The environment they grew in was most probably a sandy tidal flat or braided river channel. Approx. 105 mm x 75 mm x 7 mm thick. 85 grams.
