marked "9 ct" and marked with an interlocking "JAP" inside a circle maker mark on the reverse
Smeeton was recalled in 1940 for Second World War service
A Turkish Ottoman Empire Order Of Medjidie (Mecidiye), Commander's Neck Badge, 3Rd Class Auction Archive 1945 and November 17Turkey (Ottoman Empire); Multi piece construction, silver seven pointed star base, center appliqu in Gold and red enamels, mint marked and silver marked on the reverse, 58. 5 mm x 73. 7 mm inclusive of its silver and red enamelled crescent moon and star suspension, on a full length replacement neck ribbon, chipping evident in the red enamels on the bottom tip of the crescent moon, better than very fine.
