HMS Belfast (Arctic convoys) and the HMS Formidable (Far East and was attacked/damaged by Kamikaze aircraft)
with arms in red glass
(marked 800 on reverse)
It was here that he qualified as a Company Armourer and was appointed Company Armourer Corporal at East Sandling on August 9
