Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse consisting of a central square oak leaf wreath, joined together at the top by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, on top of a magnetic metal backplate, flanked on each side by four sun rays and four oak leaves with acorns, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked F. & B.
