Instituted 18 October 1861 by King Wilhelm I. (1867 1918 issue). Constructed of 14 karat Gold frame with multi coloured enamels, consisting of a Cross Patte with a Gold frame and white enameled arms outlined in gilt, the obverse with a central gilt medallion bearing a raised crown, within a ring of blue enamel bearing a gilt inscription of GOTT MIT UNS (GOD IS WITH US) and arabesques, the reverse with an
