Constructed of silver, the obverse bearing a raised and finely detailed profile of Manfred von Richthofen (the Red Baron), circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a raised eagle and stylized von Richthofen family coat of arms, overlying a depiction of the Barons tombstone, circumscribed by an inscription of DER ROTE KAMPFFLIEGER (THE RED FIGHTER PILOT), the edge maker marked BAYER.
