Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised propeller, anchor, and edelweiss, symbolizing Kriegsmarine, Luftwaffe, and Gebirgsjger personnel, respectively, topped by an inscription of NARVIK and a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse missing all of its attachment prongs with consequent loss of its branch attributing wool liner, with a silver finish indicating Heer
