A round medal constructed of gilded copper, the obverse centre presents the right facing bust of Wilhelm II with the inscription WILHELM II KOENIG VON WUERTTEMBERG, the reverse centre presents an oil lamp atop a globe surrounded by various emblems of art and science, encircled by laurel and oak leaf wreaths with the inscription DEM VERDIENSTE, measuring 24.
