Germany, SS. A Waffen-SS Gebirgsjäger Standartenführer Shoulder Board Republic of measuring 63 mm x 45(Waffen SS Schulterklappe fr einen Standartenfhrer der Gebirgstruppe). Constructed of black wool with a rigid card stock core, topped by a layer of green wool, overlaid by four bands of interwoven silver aluminum wire piping, and pinned with two rank pips, retaining a pebbled aluminum button with a reverse screw post and nut, unmarked, measuring 35 mm (w) x 100 mm (l), demonstrating some material fatigue to the wool underlay (possibly consistent with
