Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised propeller, anchor, and edelweiss, representing the Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, and Gebirgsjger (Heer), respectively, topped by an inscription of NARVIK and German national eagle perched on top of a wreathed swastika, pasted to a replacement field grey wool backer, unmarked, measuring 41. 68 mm (w) x 91. 85 mm (h), demonstrating moderate loss of silver finish
