A National Socialist War Victim’s Care Honour Badge, Gau Level, by Steinhauer & Lück consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac Major-General Sir Frederick William Benson(Nationalsozialistische Kriegsopferversorgung Ehrenzeichen). Constructed of gilded tombak with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a white diamond bearing a gilded National Socialist War Victims Care (NSKOV) insignia, situated within a red enameled border, the reverse with a vertical pinback, maker marked with the logo of Steinhauer & Lck, Ldenscheid, measuring 28. 18 mm (w) x 38. 90 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
