Instituted 1850 by King Friedrich August II of Saxony. (1876 1918 Issue). Constructed of hollow Gold with multi coloured enamels, consisting of a white enameled Christ Cross with Gold borders joined through the arms by a green and red enamel laurel wreath, the obverse presenting with a central medallion composed of a Gold relief of Duke Albrecht III of Saxony inside a blue enameled ring bearing the Orders Motto
