Early good quality badge in silvered bronze
training for machine supervisor and for the special drivers school of the LW
disembarking in Italy on the 17th and was posted to the Canadian Army
Germany, Wehrmacht. A Silver Grade Wound Badge, 1957 Issue Archive Commander Kraas managed to move(Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of silvered bronze, obverse depicting a raised Stahlhelm (steel helmet) over top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, surrounded by laurel wreath, reverse plain with a barrel hinge and narrow pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 36. 88 mm (w) x 44. 28 mm (h) and weighing 26. 0 grams, in extremely fine condition.
